What is a wedge seal?

A wedge seal otherwise known as a bore seal is a rib of plastic on the top panel of the closure which is designed to press-fit inside the top of the bottle and push against the inside edge (not the top) of the bottle.

This type of seal requires the bottle to have a smooth finish without any sink marks on the inside of the bottle within 2mm of the top of the bottle
